ASIA NOW ART FAIR

9 avenue Hoche, 19 - 23 October 2016 

ASIA NOW aims to create a close connection between the collector and artists and theirworks. The second edition will be staged in the intimate atmosphere of a Haussmannianbuilding, through which visitors will be able to wander from one room to the other as theywould in a collector’s home.

The programme
ASIA NOW is extending its program, with new projects and performances:

A South East Asian platform, Chimères: Visions of South East Asia, curated by Hervé Mikaeloff, in collaboration with Matthias Arndt (founder of A3) focusing on artists from the Philippines and Indonesia such as Eko Nugroho and Manuel Ocampo

–Shang Xia and Christie’s will present 12 design pieces from their collaboration on Chinese contemporary design

–news of the world, an NGO and research studio curated by Pierre Coinde will present a non-stop screening of the Hanoi Doclab videoand a performance on the Singaporean Smart Nation by Teow Yue Han

–A show on Women’s Independence curated by Magda Danysz, commissioned by Etam presenting artists including Li Hongbo, Stella Sujin, and Liu Bolin. The art commissions were unveiled at K11 in Shanghai, prior to ASIA NOW, and will be sold at charity auction and the profits donated to the Naked Heart Foundation founded by Natalia Vodianova
