“Donkey
Abduction” presents a compact narrative scene where the title immediately
introduces a sense of mystery and absurdity. The donkey, a traditional symbol
associated with humility, labor or folklore, becomes the central figure of an
unexpected event. Through this playful inversion, the painting invites the
viewer to imagine a story that unfolds beyond the canvas. The oil technique
allows for careful attention to detail despite the small format, giving the work a strong visual presence and
narrative intensity.”
