Artist Statment"Greece is a cradle of western civilisation. Greece is a birth place of ancient mythologies. Greece is the place gathering many ancient human traces. These factors are rooted in everyone‘s imagination who hasn’t been to Greece yet. My short travel to Greece has brought me some thoughts in addition to those above. Greece is the same oldest civilization as China, I saw they have the same fate on the lost heritage of the traditional culture. Modern civilization has embodied the traditional culture only into those lonely stones standing in the Acropolis, I felt sad. Further looking at the collapsed Parthenon, it is just like to see those neglected old towns in China, I felt mournful. The marble silently states their prosperous old days. Modern city carries human dreams.Modern city provides comfort and pleasure our ancestors never had.Modern city tramples on historical traditions, environment and ecology while creating hope.I wonder whether we can slow down our steps to listen to the voices of these stones."
