“Volcano
dream” suggests an imaginary or psychological landscape where natural forces
become metaphors for inner states. The title evokes eruption, transformation
and latent energy, themes often associated with dream narratives. Through the
medium of oil on canvas, Hascoët can develop layered textures and atmospheric
depth that reinforce the painting's emotional intensity. The large scale
amplifies the immersive quality of the composition, inviting viewers to enter a
scene that oscillates between narrative suggestion and symbolic interpretation.
