Charles Pétillon’s Playstation transforms an ordinary basketball hoop into a surreal and playful scene. A dense cluster of white balloons overflows from the net, as if an explosion of energy or movement had been frozen in time. The installation subverts expectations, turning a symbol of competition and athleticism into a moment of weightless, dreamlike suspension. Set in an empty outdoor court near the sea, the work evokes nostalgia, imagination, and the idea of childhood play transcending its original function. Through this intervention, Pétillon questions our relationship with everyday spaces, infusing them with poetry and wonder.
