"To succeed, you need to risk failure" say artists Miller and McNeil who together form the iconic duo FAILE. As Estelle Pietrzyk, director of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Strasbourg put it they "both cherish the acute awareness of the weekness of things, foremost among them the work of art, which becomes the driving force of their practice." Estelle Pietrzyk, director of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Strasbourg
FAILE is the Brooklyn-based artistic collaboration between Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller. Since its beginning in 1999, their FAILE duo has been known for a wide ranging multimedia practice recognizable for its explorations of duality through a fragmented style of appropriation and collage.
