This summer, Eko Nugroho’s work was presented at the Jeonnam Museum of Art in Gwangyang, South Korea, as part of the exhibition “We Connect, We Occupy.” In this show, Nugroho brings his urban aesthetic — rooted in street art — interwoven with comic-book references and a political discourse on public space, community, and urban life. His participation highlights both his international recognition and his ability to address issues of collective space — occupied, shared, and re-imagined.
