Prune Nourry

Born in 1985 in Paris, Prune Nourry is a multi-disciplinary artist, based at New York. She draws her inspiration from the themes that related to bioethics.

She creates in her performances; artworks and exhibition design a humourous medical world. But, in that way, Prune Nourry brings attention to some of the preoccupying issues that arise from our fast growing scientific discoveries, in particular about human definition and human selection like the artificial procreation.

Trained as a sculptor, Prune Nourry  explores a multitude of mediums such as photography and film, and attempts to transcend their 2 dimensionality through re-projection and creating sculptural pieces the audience can interact with. Offering an accessible and participatory art experience to viewers is essential for Prune Nourry.
