The raw, textured surface of this composition
immediately invites the viewer into a dialogue with the urban environment.
Layers of torn and peeling posters, meticulously arranged and partially
removed, create a dynamic palimpsest of fragmented images and texts.
Predominantly white areas, formed by the deliberate removal of outer layers,
carve out abstract forms and evoke faces emerging from the chaos of the city.
The irregular edges and visible residues underscore the material reality of the
work, transforming discarded materials into a poignant commentary on urban
life, renewal, and the constant flow of human presence. The act of tearing and
revealing invites contemplation of the layers of history, culture and
individual stories buried within the fabric of our cities.
