    从小在伊朗长大的Icy & Sot接触到了各种不公平的现象，他们以将政治话语置于艺术实践的核心而闻名，且说到："艺术本身就是一种政治行为"。"艺术本身就是一种政治行为，" 。这个展览围绕着气候变化活动家格蕾塔·童贝里著名的 “像我们的房子着火了一样行动"宣言而展开。在展览的中心，视频片段显示了一所真实的房子被火焰吞噬。对于艺术编辑萨沙·博格耶夫来说“这使格蕾塔鼓舞人心的话语变成诗意的现实。人们能够在燃烧的房屋框架之间看到周围未被破坏的自然，艺术家们建议从更广阔的角度来看，地球是我们唯一的家。”

    从伊朗到美国

    两兄弟在21世纪初开始了他们的艺术之旅，自发地制作了一些贴纸和模板，当他们骑着滑板在城市里穿梭时，就把它们贴在公共墙上。起初，街头艺术对他们来说是一个遥远而陌生的东西，但他们逐渐从网络中认知，在Flickr等照片分享平台上了解到国际化的城市艺术家。从一开始，他们的作品就具有政治性，涉及的主题包括童工、性别不平或国家压迫等。由于审查是系统性的，敏感性话题的作品会在短时间内被删除，有时仅是一夜之间。艺术家们一次又一次地遭到警方的麻烦，甚至被拘留好几天。于是他们借着2012年在纽约举办展览的机会决定搬到美国并在那里生活至今，使他们能够作为艺术家成长。

  • "在伊朗生活的最后一年里，因为做艺术而被拘留真的很令人沮丧。工作和生活变得非常有压力，我们做什么都会有疑虑。作为艺术家继续工作变得如此困难，我们决定离开这个国家，以便能够更自由地且国际性的创作。"
