Stigmates

As heir to the land artists or photographers as Richard Long or Georges Rousse, Charles Pétillon takes possession of the places he photographs by creating incredible balloons installations. The immaculate white “neither rich nor poor, evokes rest and a form of peace”. His balloons compositions, which he calls "Invasions", aim at changing our perspective on what we see every day without noticing. The white poetic balloon symbolizes what we do not say, do not see, the untold or forgotten memories...   For Danysz gallery the artist presents a series of poetic photographs and an immersive installation. It is an intimate echo to the giant installation currently on display in Xintiandi, as well as a good  opportunity to discover the artist's photographs and let public walk into his dreamy magical balloon installation.
