5 November - 20 December 2016 Shanghai

FIREWORKS

A show focusing on Magda Danysz Gallery?s expertise in Video art, Street art and Chinese art. For the year end, it is an occasion to stroll in the monumental gallery and discover masterpieces of numerous and diverse artists.

The show aims at offering an international perspective on contemporary art showing context and media are mixing, always being diverse. That is where contemporary creation lays: in diversity.

VIDEO PART

On the occasion of world famous artist Yi Zhou?s show at MACRO museum in Rome the gallery will focus on a special video program. As a master in 3D and video art, Yi Zhou represents the next generation of artists who mix references and disciplines. Cruising between the fashion industry and the art world Yi Zhou is a great symbol of our multipolar generation. Breaking the limits and standing out from boxes, the new generation of artists exploits its numerous talents.

STREET ART PART

Three main artists are presented: JR (France), Vhils (Portugal), Hua Tunan (China) because they are the best in the younger generation. Exhibited this summer at the highly acclaimed show about the history of street art at the CAFA art Museum in Beijing, these three artists offer each of them a very specific insight on contextual art.

CHINESE PART

As the gallery has always been a place of dialogue between the international and the Chinese art scene, we chose to include sculptures and installation by talented artists Li Hongbo, Shi NingFang and Huang Rui. Reflecting on the appearance of things these three artists offer artworks and monumental installation that bring the visitor to think that what we see is not always what it seems.
